For those who don't
know I spent Easter 2002 with Colbs in London. It was a pity to
miss the Clare Races and Oakbank, but I had a great time in London.
Thanks Colbs! |

I arrived at Heathrow almost 30 hours after I left
Adelaide Airport. I had to catch the tube for the first time in
my life from Heathrow to Stratford (South West London to North East)
at 7:30 in the morning. It wasn't a pleasant experience catching
the tube at peak hour with 6 months luggage, but I will tell you
about it another day. I met Colbs at Stratford, and we then caught
a big red bus to his house in Forrest Gate. |

When
I arrived at Colby’s we had some breakfast, and then planned
our next few days together. We decided that we had better make the
most of the good weather that London was turning on by cranking
up a BBQ.
We went to the mall, purchased a carton of Fosters
for £10, a BBQ and some meat. The pictures tell the rest of
the story. |
