June was another excellent month in Deutschland. With out any doubt the highlight was the World Cup. I knew a bit about the madness that grips the World during the one month long tournament, but to the extent that it effect every person in Europe (I saw mainly Gemany's reaction), is hard to believe.

 

It was an extremely exciting time to be in Germany, especially given the success of the Mannshaft. Few expected them to make it into the round of 16, let alone the final. It was also good because I won the pool at work 3 of the 5 times it was run.

Other highlights were Heidelberg, and the hausfest, the biggest party of the year at Roncalli Haus.
